Equipment Usage Policy: A gentle reminder from the Equipment Usage Policy:
If you wish to paddle a Club boat on waterways other than the Basingstoke Canal then you are responsible for arranging
a suitable licence. You need a licence to paddle on the Thames, Wey, other canals and river Medway amongst others.
The cheapest way to obtain a waterways licence is through membership of Canoe England.
The full Policy wording is here.
Anti Social Behaviour
Sadly there are some people about who have decided to throw stones at paddlers.
If this happens to you please call the Police on 999 as soon as possible, it is an assault.
If you see some bad behaviour that you feel doesn't merit Police involvement then call the Canal Centre
on 01252 370073 (Office hours) or 078944 425588 (Out of office hours).
Stay safe, your first priority is yourself and the group you are paddling with.
