Welcome to the official web site of the Basingstoke Canal Canoe Club - the BCCC

The Basingstoke Canal Authority have today (8th Oct) informed me that there is a small sewage leak at Ash Wharf. The Environment Agency, Surrey CC and Guildford BC have been informed and appropriate action is being taken.
All members are reminded to follow good hygiene practices after canoeing and kayaking. Any further information on this matter will be passed on when available.

Anti Social Behaviour

Sadly there are some people about who have decided to throw stones at paddlers.
If this happens to you please call the Police on 999 as soon as possible, it is an assault. If you see some bad behaviour that you feel doesn't merit Police involvement then call the Canal Centre on 01252 370073 (Office hours) or 078944 425588 (Out of office hours).
Stay safe, your first priority is yourself and the group you are paddling with.

The barrier to the field

Club members can use the BCCC key in the boathouse to open the barrier. Members can also buy their own copy of the barrier key from Basingstoke Canal Authority.
If you unlock the the barrier then you must lock it again immediately after use.
N.B. If this procedure is not followed then we risk losing vehicle access to the field.
