Anne and Brian are kindly organising the above event in memorial of Chris Belton, one our late and longstanding BCCC members. Chris was very fond of making homebrew wine, in particular sloe wine, gin etc. He was often to be found foraging in the undergrowth for fruits of the countryside. So Brina and Anne proposed that a ‘slow paddle’ would be a fitting memorial to Chris.
Pre- booking is essential. Let Anne and Brian know you are coming as soon as possible
The paddle will start at Colt Hill, more details once you’ve registered and depending on numbers. Paddlers are invited to collect sloes, make sloe gin, sloe jam, sloe sauce, sloe jelly. Later in the year we will have a competition to see who has made the best use of their sloes. |
