From the chair……
Well, Tuesday evenings are very much under way, with the Paddlepower scheme being very well attended yet again – special thanks to Paul Jeffs for continued dedication to Paddlepower this season.
Back in May this year our club hosted its annual club marathon which had 275 racers - a record number for this club. Well done to Brain Gandy and his team.
A significant number of club members have been attending star courses already this season, ranging from placid water kayak to open canoe, well done if you have passed your BCU star assessments - keep up the practice! If you wish to attend one of our
courses please speak to our training team, led by Merry Williams.
I leave you with this thought. Our world is made of 70% water, which means one big playground for us to explore, be it seas, rivers, lakes or even canals. Water can take you to places that are wild and beautiful, places that are far from the madding crowds and places that we’d never reach by any other route so go and explore.
